Supervisor Wilmarth called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
The Board stood and said the pledge of allegiance.
Roll call Supervisors: Horton, and Wilmarth and Auditor Bethany Murphy. Also, present Kim Watson and Justin Savage.
Horton made a motion seconded by Wilmarth to approve the agenda for today’s meeting and the minutes to the last meeting and the special meeting on September 19, 2022. Motion carried 2-0.
Horton reported on the Landfill meeting he attended.
Savage updated the Board on the Roads Department. They are driving piling on Jackson 10 bridge and have been patching pavement.
The Board discussed the Verna Vanik property at 805 Main Street. Ms. Vanik would like a reduction in her property taxes. Horton made a motion seconded by Wilmarth not to change the taxes on the property. Motion carried 2-0.
The Board reviewed the Floodplain Ordinance and set the public hearing for October 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
The Board made a phone call to Crystal Drake to check on the status of the electrical plan for the building renovation, but it has not been completed yet.
Chris McDermott checked the roof of the courthouse to see if there are any issue with the roofing system. The roof was put on new in 2013 and is aging well.
Horton made a motion seconded by Wilmarth to accept the resignation of current County Auditor Bethany Murphy effective November 15, 2022. Motion carried 2-0.
Horton made a motion seconded Wilmarth to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 2-0.
