The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in special session at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Supervisor Fitzgerald called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson, Beggs, all present. Also present: Corey Leftwich, Justin Savage, and Jan Beach-Sickels.
Savage presented his budget to the Board. The Board asked questions about the anticipated revenues and expenses to the Board. Discussions continued until the Board had no further questions. Savage left the meeting.
Beach-Sickels presented the ambulance budget to the Board. The Board asked questions about the anticipated revenues and expenses to the Board. Discussions continued until the Board had no further questions. Beach-Sickels left the meeting.
The Board Canvassed the Votes for the March 7, 2023 Special Election.
The Board discussed the overall budget for Taylor County. In an effort to prevent a large increase in the levy, adjustments were suggested and will continue to be reviewed until the Board is satisfied with the changes. The Board decided to discuss the budget again at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
The Board reviewed topics for discussion in future meetings. Watson motioned to adjourn the meeting. Beggs seconded. MC 3-0.
