The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023. Supervisor Fitzgerald called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson, Beggs, all present. Also present: Corey Leftwich, Josh Good and Justin Savage.
Watson motioned to approve the minutes from July 27th, as well as approve the agenda for the meeting. Beggs seconded. MC 3-0.
There were no public comments. There were no committee reports.
Savage reported to the Board on the status of secondary roads, as well as presented a utility permit for approval by the Board for Alliant Energy to provide energy to AgriVision. Watson motioned to approve the utility permit as presented. Beggs seconded. MC 3-0.
Andrew Johnson with RJ’s Plumbing and Heating discussed Courthouse maintenance and improvement with the Board. Options were discussed for repairing the HVAC systems in the Courthouse or replacing them with more efficient systems. Johson will return to the Board with quotes.
The Board reviewed and approved claims to be paid.
The Board reviewed topics for discussion in future meetings. Watson motioned to adjourn the meeting. Beggs seconded. MC 3-0.
