January 11th 2021 Meeting Minutes

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Doug Horton, Ron Fitzgerald, Pam
Wilmarth, and Auditor Bethany Murphy present.
Fitzgerald made a motion seconded by Wilmarth to approve the minutes of last meeting and todays
agenda. Motion carried 3-0.
Colleen Larimer, Belinda Ogle, Zach Woods, Doug Thompson, Danielle Lawrence, Chris Stewart, Jason
McMillin, Josh Weed, Julie Robinson, Sharon Dalton, Shellia Culp joined the meeting to discuss
health insurance rates. A single policy increased $70.00 and a family increased $159.00. The Board
chose to only increase the amount paid by the family insured by $40.00 per month. Members of the
group questioned the Board on how they came up with the amounts owed by family insured employees.
The Board had also raised the rate that was being paid to employees for not taking our insurance
from
$190.00 to $225.00, this was also discussed. Wellness participation by county employees was also
discussed.
The Board reviewed the new Covid Leave Policy and Work from Home Policy. The Board would like an
attorney opinion before passing.
Belinda Ogle updated the Board the Secondary Roads Department voted to take their two floating
holidays on July 2, 2021 and November 26, 2021. She also updated the Board on the current projects
in the department.
Wilmarth made a motion seconded by Fitzgerald to approve the insurance buy out for Aleck Pafford.
Motion carried 3-0.
The Board reviewed the Recorder’s Quarterly Report. Wilmarth gave a report on the RC&D meeting she
attended.
No further business came before the Board at this time, and the meeting was adjourned subject to
call.
