PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
December 12, 2023, Supervisor Fitzgerald called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson and Beggs all present. Also present: Judy Henry and Rob Welch.
Watson made a motion to approve the minutes from December 7, 2023, meeting and Agenda for today. Beggs seconded. MC 3-0.

New Business
Beggs made a motion to go into closed session per Code 21.5(1) (c). Watson seconded the motion. MC 3-0. Closed session was moved to County Attorney’s office.
Fitzgerald announced the Board was back from Closed session.
Josh Good, IT Department, updated board on current projects going on in his department. He has spent time working on the Election software and equipment for the Auditor, moved Public Health computers to their new office and set them up and progressing with Team Alert. FMTC will be here in February to work on the fiber project.
Old Business
Shellia updated the Board on courthouse maintenance, also relayed days she will be absent.
Secondary Roads:
Engineer Savage said they are currently working on the new shed at New Market, the old shed has been torn down. There were no permits to submit. Chase Weller joined the Board to discuss his request to change part of Orange Ave to Level C. He would only need it changed 4 months out of the year.
The Board reviewed and approved claims to be paid.
The Board discussed future topics of discussion for future meetings.
Beggs made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Watson seconded. MC 3-0.
