Supervisor Wilmarth called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.
The Board stood and said the pledge of allegiance.
Roll call Supervisors: Horton, Fitzgerald, and Wilmarth and Auditor Bethany Murphy. Also, present Sue Cox, Cole Walters, Rob Welch, and Seth Wadkins
Fitzgerald made a motion seconded by Horton to approve the agenda for today’s meeting and the minutes to the last meeting. Motion carried 3-0
Wadkins addressed the Board in support of the wind turbines.
Rob Welch of JCG Land addressed the Board on how changing the setbacks would impact a project.
Sue Cox spoke about how living right in the Invenergy project. She believes this is a good source of revenue for our county.
Robert Robinson joined the meeting.
Cole Walter distributed a legislative update on how local budgets will be cut in the next years due to the end of the BPTC backfill.
Welch stated the company wanting to build the turbines is Apex. The proposed project would contain 50-54 turbines.
Robert Robinson spoke in support of the turbines. He stated the trucks are louder in the highway then the turbine. He also said they cut his tile when the project came through and they fixed it.
The Board all spoke in support of the project.
9:28 All guests left the meeting.
The Board discussed whether to change the Wind Turbine Ordinance.
The Board decided not to change the Wind Turbine Ordinance and leave it as written and cancel all the previously scheduled public meeting.
Fitzgerald made a motion seconded by Horton to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 3-0.
