October 6th 2022 Meeting Minutes

October 6, 2022

Supervisor Wilmarth called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

The Board stood and said the pledge of allegiance.

Roll call Supervisors: Horton, Fitzgerald, and Wilmarth and Auditor Bethany Murphy. Also, present Kim Watson, Justin Savage, Jarrod Beckstom, Caroline Casler, Holly Nelson, and Jack Beggs

Fitzgerald made a motion seconded by Horton to approve the agenda for today’s meeting and the minutes to the last meeting with a change in one sentence.  Motion carried 2-0.

Jarrod from Apex Clean Energy just stopped by to update the Board on the wind project.  They are calling the project Black Maple Wind.  They are opening the office in the Maynes Real Estate Build in suite C.

The Board discussed the care of the clock.  At this time the Board would like Kim Watson to care of the clock. 

Justin Savage presented a funding agreement with Hungry Canyons for $16,059.00 for the replacement of a concrete box with a steel culvert in Polk Township.  Horton made a motion seconded by Fitzgerald to approve the Hungry Canyons Agreement. 

County Attorney Clint Spurrier joined the meeting to let the Board know about technology updates in the Courtroom.  The court system will foot the bill for all the technology and the county would be responsible for the electrical updates and fining an electrician.  Fitzgerald made a motion seconded by Horton to approve the County Attorney to sign any project with the technology upgrades to the courtroom.     

Dennis Clark joined the meeting to discuss the taxes on parcel 0931300401000.  At this time the Board tabled a decision on this at this time. 

Horton made a motion seconded by Fitzgerald to approve the Conservation Annual Report.  Motion carried 3-0.

Fitzgerald made a motion seconded by Horton to approve the raise for the Auditor Clerk to $19.50.  Motion carried 3-0.

Fitzgerald gave a report from Steve Chase from JC Toland Painting on working on the dome.

Fitzgerald gave a report on the EMA meeting he attended.  They discussed making the EMA Director a full-time position.

Horton made a Fitzgerald made a motion seconded by Horton to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried 3-0.
