February 17th 2022 Meeting Minutes

February 17, 2022
Supervisor Fitzgerald called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
The Board stood and said the pledge of allegiance
Roll call Supervisors: Fitzgerald and Horton, and Wilmarth via phone and Auditor Bethany Murphy. Also, present Justin Savage and Sue Cox
Horton made a motion seconded by Fitzgerald to approve the agenda for today’s date and the minutes from the prior meeting. Motion carried 2-0
There were no public comments.
There were no committee reports.
Savage presented a revision to the five-year program to include the new rock contract.
Stew Hansen has another pickup coming in that would be just like the one purchased last week Savage would like to go ahead and purchase the additional truck. Wilmarth made a motion seconded by Horton to purchase the additional pickup from Stew Hansen for $48,700.00 for Dodge Crew Cab. Motion carried 3-0.
Savage let the Board know that an employee of the Roads Department has resigned.
Wilmarth made a motion seconded by Horton to allow the Marketplace to be a qualifying event retroactive to July 2021. Motion carried 3-0.
The Board discussed a section in the new proposed employee handbook they would not allow the use of an employee’s vacation to extend their health insurance coverage. The Board agreed to allow the use of an employee’s vacation bult up time to extend health insurance into the next month but not longer than the following month after they leave employment.
Horton made a motion seconded by Wilmarth to change to Delta Dental on April 1, 2022. Motion carried.
Horton made a motion seconded by Wilmarth to remain with Delta Vision for FY23. Motion carried 3-0.
Wilmarth made a motion seconded by Horton keep Plan 11E with the deductible buy down to $750.00 for single and $1,500.00 for family insurance. Motion carried 3-0.
The Board approved the claims to be paid.
The Board approved an equipment disposal form for the paint machine from Secondary Roads.
Sheriff Weed was in to let the Board know the Dodge Charger needs a new control box. The price of the box is $1991.00. Fitzgerald made a motion seconded by Horton to approve the purchase of the control box for the Dodge Charger. Motion carried 3-0.
The Board spoke with County Attorney Spurrier on insurance issues conflicting with the current and proposed employee handbook.
The Board set the Max Levy Public Hearing for March 7, 2022.
Cole Walters, Rosanne Seela, Rick Cabbage and Steve Cabbage for request for LOST Funds for economic development in each community. The request from the group is $2,500.00 in Lenox, Bedford, and New Market. The Board would like to give funds out based on per capita. No decision was made on this matter.
Horton made a motion seconded by Fitzgerald to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 3-0.
