February 10th 2022 Meeting Minutes

February 10, 2022
Supervisor Fitzgerald called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
The Board stood and said the pledge of allegiance
Roll call Supervisors: Fitzgerald and Horton, and Auditor Bethany Murphy. Also, present Nicki Lock and Bill Henderson.
Horton made a motion seconded by Fitzgerald to approve the agenda for today’s meeting and the minutes from the prior meeting. Motion carried 2-0
There were no public comments.
There were no committee reports.
Horton reported on the SICOG meeting he attended.
There was no one present from the city or the school for the hearing on the Urban Renewal Area. Henderson asked a few questions about the project. He also wanted the public to be aware that if this project does not go the tax will come off at the end of this year. Henderson is also concerned with the total cost estimates as the building is so old once you start construction what the cost will end up being.
Linda Bauer joined the meeting at 10:35 am.
Rob Lundquist joined the meeting at 10:44 am.
Horton made they motion seconded by Fitzgerald to approve Resolution 2022-10 setting the public hearing for the Urban Renewal Area and on Urban Renewal Plan and Project for February 24, 2022, at 10:00 am. Motion carried 2-0.
Bauer and Henderson left meeting at 10:56 am.
Lundquist would like the levy left where it is and take the extra funds to bridges.
Justin Savage joined the meeting to discuss changing some roads to level C. Roads proposed to change are Post Avenue in Marshall Township and 290th Street in Section 7 of Ross Township.
Savage presented a quote for a 2022 Dodge Crew Cab pickup for $48,700.00 from Stew Hansen. Horton made a motion seconded by Fitzgerald to approve the purchase of the pickup for $48,700.00. Motion carried 2-0.
The Board approved an equipment disposal form for the Sheriff’s Department for the totaled 2014 Ford Interceptor.
Horton made a motion seconded by Fitzgerald to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 2-0.
