The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in special session at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6th, 2023.
Supervisor Fitzgerald called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson, Beggs, all present. Also present: Corey Leftwich.
Josh Weed joined the meeting.
Weed presented his requested budget for fiscal year 2024 to the Board members. The Board reviewed the budget request and Weed answered questions about the budget that were asked by the Board.
Weed left the meeting. Josh Good joined the meeting.
Good presented his updated budget for fiscal year 2024 to the Board members. The Board reviewed the budget request and Good answered questions about the budget that were asked by the Board. The budget was updated as a result of increased fee notices being received.
Good left the meeting.
Leftwich presented the requested budget for fiscal year 2024 to the Board members on behalf of Matura. The Board reviewed the budget request and Leftwich answered questions about the budget that were asked by the Board.
Leftwich presented the requested budget for fiscal year 2024 to the Board members for LOST funds. The Board reviewed the budget request and Leftwich answered questions about the budget that were asked by the Board.
The Board took a recess for lunch at noon. The Board resumed at 1:00 p.m.
Clinton Spurrier joined the meeting virtually. Julie Robinson joined the meeting.
Spurrier and Robinson presented the requested budget for fiscal year 2024 to the Board members for the County Attorney’s Office. The Board reviewed the budget request and they answered questions about the budget that were asked by the Board.
Spurrier and Robinson left the meeting. Shellia Culp joined the meeting.
Culp presented the requested budget for fiscal year 2024 to the Board members for General Services. The Board reviewed the budget request and Culp answered questions about the budget that were asked by the Board.
Culp left the meeting.
Leftwich presented the requested budget for fiscal year 2024 to the Board members for the Board of Supervisors. The Board reviewed the budget request and Leftwich answered questions about the budget that were asked by the Board. The Board directed Leftwich to make changes as necessary.
Leftwich presented the requested budget for fiscal year 2024 to the Board members for the Auditor’s Office. The Board reviewed the budget request and Leftwich answered questions about the budget that were asked by the Board.
The Board reviewed topics for discussion in future meetings. Beggs motioned to adjourn the meeting, Watson seconded. MC 3-0.
