The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with Doug Horton, Ron Fitzgerald, Pam
Wilmarth, and Auditor Bethany Murphy present.
Fitzgerald made a motion seconded by Wilmarth to approve the minutes of last meeting and todays
agenda. Motion carried 3-0.
Mick Ware and Belinda Ogle joined the meeting to present the EMA budget.
Jessica Winquist, Stephanie Haffner, Tracy Head and Belinda Ogle from Tinker Tots came and updated
the Board on where they are at with their new building. They are $86,000 short from their goal.
They have signed with Corner Stone out of Corning and hope to break ground as soon as possible.
They would appreciate any help from the county. The Board spoke in support of the project and said
they would be happy to personally support them but did not agree to support with any tax dollars.
Leesa Lester joined the meeting via zoom to discuss the Southern Iowa Trolley budget ask for FY22.
Stacy Katen from Family Heritage joined the meeting. They are an accidental insurance company. She
would like access to employees to possibly insure them. The Board agreed to allow access to the
employees.
Crystal Drake and Zach Woods joined the meeting with the FY22 budget request from public health.
The Board broke for lunch at noon. The Board reconvened at 1:00 p.m.
Sheriff Josh Weed joined the meeting to present his FY22 budget request.
No further business came before the Board at this time, and the meeting was adjourned subject to
