PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Supervisor Fitzgerald called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson and Beggs present. Also, present Auditor, Judy Henry, Jim Rowe and Rob Welch.
Watson made a motion to approve the agenda for today and the minutes from August 29, 2024, Board Meeting. Beggs seconded the motion. MC 3-0.
Public Comments:
None
Committee Report:
Fitzgerald attended the Crossroads meeting.
Secondary Road Report:
Rowe reported Bridge Projects on Benton 25 and Marshall 24 will be replaced with concrete sections instead of tubes. The projects will start in the spring.
NEW BUSINESS:
Discussion on the Purchasing Policy, Fraud Reporting Policy and Protected Personally Identifiable Information policy were tabled until a later date.
Compensation Board discussion will be held off until the Department Head Meeting on September 12, 2024.
Josh Weed joined the meeting to discuss hiring a dispatcher. Watson made a motion to hire a new dispatcher. Beggs seconded the motion. MC 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Shellia Culp reviewed Courthouse updates.
No Auditor update.
The Board worked on items for the next meeting.
Claims were reviewed and approved.
Beggs made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Watson seconded the motion. MC 3-0. Meeting adjourned.
