PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:07 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson, and Beggs present. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry, Jim Rowe and Rob Welch.

Fitzgerald made a motion to approve the agenda for today and minutes from the May 1, 2025, meeting. Watson seconded the Motion. MC 3-0.

COMMITTEE REPORT:
Fitzgerald attended the MATURA meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Rob Welch gave updates on the Windmill project.

SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:
Rowe stated they have started fulfilling the Rock Contract. Rowe presented the update Bridge Project Design from JD King.

NEW BUSINESS:
Auditor Henry presented a letter that County Attorney, Andy Knuth, will be sending to Taylor County landowners Louis & Cheryl Birkenholz for fencing and equine issues.
Auditor Henry presented a Short-Term Occupancy Agreement from Getting’ Slushed South of 35 dba Lucky Wife Wine Slushies. This agreement was for a premises address for Bedford Fest.
Josh Good, IT, presented a quote for 2 AD servers at $11,985.16 from DELL Tech. Watson made a motion to approve the purchase of the 2 servers. Fitzgerald seconded the motion. MC 3 -0.
Department Heads held a meeting with the Board to review the first 2 chapters of the Taylor County Handbook. The Handbook must be updated by July 1, 2025.
Crystal Drake, Public Health, spoke to the Board on needed repairs to the roof on the Public Health building.

OLD BUSINESS:
Culp reported on continued projects and upkeep of the Courthouse.

The board approved claims to be paid and discussed items for the next meeting.

Watson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Fitzgerald seconded the motion. MC 3-0. Meeting adjourned.
