PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Supervisor Fitzgerald called the meeting to order at 9:11 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson and Beggs present. Also, present Auditor, Judy Henry, Jim Rowe and Rob Welch.
Beggs made a motion to approve the agenda for today and the minutes from the December 26, 2024, Board Meeting. Watson seconded the motion. MC 3-0.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
None
PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:
Rowe stated they continue to finish up projects.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board held its annual re-organization meeting. Watson made a motion to elect Jack Beggs as the new Supervisor Chairman. Fitzgerald seconded the motion. MC 3-0. Fitzgerald made a motion to elect Kim Watson as Vice-Chair. Beggs seconded the motion. MC 3-0.
Attorney hire was tabled to January 9, 2025, meeting.
Chairman Beggs signed the Notice of Election that had been approved at the December 26, 2024 meeting.
The Board signed Insurance Buyout forms for County Employees.
OLD BUSINESS:
Fitzgerald made a motion to hire Kenny Spencer for snow removal. Watson seconded the motion. MC 3-0.
Board approved claims to be paid and discuss items for the next meeting.
Watson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Fitzgerald seconded the motion. MC 3-0. Meeting adjourned.
