PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
Febrnary 6, 2025. Supervisor Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:11 a.m. The Pledge of
Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Kim Watson, Ron Fitzgerald, and Jack Beggs, all
present. Also present: Deputy Auditor Lindsay Sonksen and Jim Rowe.
Fitzgerald motioned to approve the minutes from January 30, 2025, as well as approve the
agenda for the meeting. Watson seconded. MC 3-0.
No Public Comments.
No Committee Report.
Rowe presented two utility permits for approval, one from Windstream and one from AMG
Technology Investment Group dba NexLink. Watson made a motion to approve the AMG
Technology Investment Group utility permit. Fitzgerald seconded. MC 3-0. Fitzgerald motioned
to approve the Windstream utility permit. Watson seconded. MC 3-0.
Rowe left the meeting. Julie Robinson, Shellia Culp, Holly Cavin, and Linda Bauer entered the
meeting.
Discussion and possible approval for SICOG FY26 funding was tabled until 2/13/2025 meeting.
Linda Bauer asked if the budget for the county will be reduced for the upcoming FY26. Watson
advised Bauer that budgets are still being discussed.
Keisha Nguyen, Dana Davis, and Josh Weed entered the meeting.
Supervisors along with department heads present discussed possible longevity changes.
Supervisors along with department heads present discussed insurance for upcoming fiscal year.
Bauer, Cavin, Nguyen, Davis and Drake left the meeting.
Culp gave an update on current maintenance projects for the courthouse.
Culp and Weed left the meeting.
Supervisors contacted a possible candidate for the open Engineer position and set up an
interview for Thursday, Februaiy 13, 2025 at 11 :00a.m. Supervisors also moved the regular

meeting set for Thursday Febrna1y 20, 2025 to Tuesday, Februaiy 18, 2025 due to Election
Canvass.
The Board reviewed and approved claims to be paid.
The Board reviewed topics for discussion in future meetings. Fitzgerald motioned to adjourn the
meeting. Watson seconded. MC 3-0.
